Inspired by the iconic Piet Mondrian’s Composition with Red, Yellow, and Blue painting, I challenged Brooklyn, New York based nail artist, Asami Irigaki of Nailed by Asami to paint the iconic design on my nails, but with a modern twist. She used colors from the Essie Fall 2014 collection including Style Cartel (inky cobalt blue), Dress to Kilt (seductive red), Fall in Line (enigmatic, jade green), and Take it Outside (punchy, fresh taupe). Essie’s Fall 2014 collection features dramatic, intriguing colors that work beautifully together or make a stylish statement on their own! I am absolutely loving my fancy nails and I have to say, they are show stoppers and a perfect accessory for the Fall season!
Asami specializes in detailed hand-painting gel art and fashion, or art inspired designs. She takes appointments at her studio in Brooklyn, but also does house calling in Manhattan. Note: She is a nail master and doesn’t turn down any nail art challenge, so bring it on!
