A crowd coming together to support a great cause and sip on rosé is always a fabulous time! On November 4th, I volunteered at the Rowan Branch Red, White & Rosé gala to raise money for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) within Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland. The NICU admits patients from all over Northern California and provides the highest level of critical care to newborns.
The event took place at the beautiful Diablo Country Club in Danville, CA. It started out with a variety of raffles and amazing food & wine pairings. I was ecstatic to have sold $10,000 in raffle tickets! The item I sold tickets for was a luxury vacation with Quintess.
Later in the evening, all attendees sat down for a gourmet dinner created by Diablo’s Chef Scott. Dinner was lively and entertaining as there was a live auction and the CEO of UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals, Michael Anderson spoke. His speech addressed how the money raised at the event would provide state-of-the-art diagnostic tools to be used within the NICU. He also touched upon his passion and strong commitment to UCSF.
Being in an environment where people come together to impact others lives positively is stimulating for me. I look forward to further volunteering with Rowan Branch in the near future and collaborating with others to help make a difference. Giving back is ALWAYS in style!
