Pebble Beach Food and Wine

At Pebble Beach Food & Wine, Michelin-starred chefs, ocean views, and the sound of bagpipes come together to create an experience that feels both elevated and effortlessly memorable.

Pebble Beach Food & Wine returned April 9–12, 2026, celebrating its 15th anniversary. Widely considered the nation’s premier food and wine festival, the four-day experience gathers an extraordinary roster of chefs, winemakers, restaurateurs, and tastemakers for a weekend defined by impeccable pairings, immersive tastings, thoughtfully curated seminars, and chef-driven dining experiences. Beyond its culinary prestige, the festival also supports the Pebble Beach Company Foundation, benefiting local youth initiatives.

Across more than 50 carefully curated events, this year’s programming offered a dynamic range of experiences, from intimate multi-course dinners to vibrant walk-around tastings set against sweeping ocean views. Talent included James Beard Award winners and Michelin-recognized chefs including Nyesha Arrington, Maneet Chauhan, Michael Symon, Tiffani Faison, Geoffrey Zakarian, and Claudette Zepeda bringing their distinct perspectives to the weekend. In total, more than 300 celebrated chefs, winemakers, mixologists, and industry leaders contributed to an atmosphere that felt both elevated and creatively alive.

Ways to Experience the Festival
One of the defining aspects of Pebble Beach Food & Wine is the flexibility of the experience itself. Whether you prefer a leisurely weekend of discovery or a more immersive, highly curated itinerary, the festival offers a rhythm to match. Walk-around tastings, educational seminars, elegant seated lunches and dinners, and exclusive VIP experiences each create a different lens through which to experience the weekend. Packages and offerings are outlined here, for reference.

My Personal Experience
This year, I opted for The Explorer’s Pass, a walk-around package that allowed for a more fluid and spontaneous approach to the weekend. Alongside the walk-around events, I attended the VIP Opening Night Reception and a standout dinner, The Art of Asian Cuisine.

My weekend began at The Inn at Spanish Bay with the VIP Opening Night Reception, hosted by Jonathan Waxman. The event brought together more than 20 acclaimed chefs alongside an impressive collection of over 90 wineries. With live music, lively conversation, and an unmistakable energy it was the perfect start to a vibrant weekend!

At High Tide, hosted by Nyesha Arrington, the spotlight shifted to the sea. Gathered fireside at The Inn at Spanish Bay, guests enjoyed seafood-driven dishes that were both bold and refined, each bite captured the freshness and character of the Pacific. Wines from the Santa Lucia Highlands Wine Artisans complemented the experience.

Sauced, hosted by Gabe Bertaccini and Rocco DiSpirito, brought a lively Italian spirit to the weekend. Chefs presented both classic and contemporary interpretations of Italian cuisine, paired with expressive wines and cocktails. It was festive, flavorful, and social, a reminder that great food experiences are as much about atmosphere as they are about what is on the plate.

At Burgers & Barrels, hosted by Josh Capon, the atmosphere turned lively and playful, with comfort food reimagined for the Pebble Beach setting. Flame-grilled burgers, thoughtfully prepared and paired with wines, craft beers, and cocktails, delivered a tasting experience that was both nostalgic and elevated.

For those drawn to variety, the Tasting Pavilion remains the heart of the festival. It offers a lively and expansive setting where dozens of chefs and producers present their finest dishes, wines, champagnes, and spirits. Here, VIP offerings, including early access, private lounges, and cabanas, add an extra layer of ease and exclusivity.

One of the most memorable moments of the weekend was The Art of Asian Cuisine dinner at Roy’s. With Chef Roy Yamaguchi of the iconic Roy’s at the helm, joined by Shota Nakajima, Pablo Mellin, and Dale Talde, the evening’s menu offered a seamless balance of precision and warmth. Stunning Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs, presented by Flowers Vineyard & Winery’s Director of Winemaking, Chantal Forthun, beautifully complemented the seafood-driven dishes. The meal ended with Inniskillin Cabernet Franc Icewine and it paired perfectly a Strawberry Matcha Cream Cake accompanied by Driscoll's roasted strawberry ice cream.

What made the evening particularly special was its intimacy, as chefs moved through the room, connecting with guests and adding a personal dimension that elevated the entire experience.

Conclusion & Reflection
What stayed with me most was the seamless interplay between scale and intimacy. The festival moves effortlessly from high-energy, visually striking tastings to intimate dining moments where each course tells a story. Pebble Beach Food & Wine excels at delivering both, the glamour of a world-class event and the warmth of a fantastic meal with great company.

Here, food, wine, landscape, and community come together in perfect harmony, creating an experience that feels not only memorable, but truly transportive. It was an exceptional weekend, and I’m already looking forward to next year’s celebration, taking place April 1–4, 2027. Consider this your invitation to mark the calendar!
