Rooted in the rich history of Carmel, Galante Vineyards happens to be the town’s first tasting room. The Galante family’s history in Carmel dates back to the 1900s when Jack Galante’s great-grandfather, J.F. Devendorf founded the town.
Galante Vineyards is best known for crafting Cabernet Sauvignon, but they also produce limited amounts of estate grown Malbec, Petite Sirah, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier and several other blends. Each bottle reflects the meticulous craftsmanship and unwavering dedication to quality that has become the hallmark of the Galante family.
Galante Vineyards offers more than just exceptional wines. Nestled above the winery’s tasting room in Carmel-by-the-Sea is a charming studio. The studio is perfect for a couple and features a king bed, kitchenette, full bath, internet, and cable equipped TV. It’s only blocks from the beach and neighbors world-class restaurants and charming shops. The studio at Galante Vineyards exemplifies the Galante family’s warm hospitality and commitment to creating unforgettable memories.
Just around the corner from Galante Vineyards is Dawn’s Dream Winery. The winery was founded by Jack Galante’s wife, Dawn Galante. Overall, their collective vision and shared passion for winemaking result in a diverse portfolio of wines that cater to every palate and preference.
Dawn’s Dream Winery is dedicated to producing ‘wines with a purpose’. Dawn’s passion for helping women and children equals her passion for making wine. Her “dream” has always been to help create dreams for others by donating money, product or time to support nonprofit organizations both locally and globally.
The winery produces elegant Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Rosé that’s of exceptional quality. The tasting room has a fun and feminine vibe and it complements Dawn’s label featuring a silhouette of a woman luxuriating in a claw-foot bathtub.
Overall, the Galante and Dawn’s Dream labels are synonymous with quality, consistency, and a true appreciation for the artistry of winemaking. Together, they have become one of the most recognized wine names in Monterey County.
