When in Carmel-by-the-Sea, stop by Seventh & Dolores! The Folktale Winery team behind so-called “7D” has created a new kind of restaurant experience in Carmel – vibrant, social, and sophisticated. Some interesting history about the restaurant’s building is that it was originally constructed as a bank in the 1970’s. I love it’s soaring ceilings, huge windows, and elegant dining area. The colorful art on the wall is unique and if you wear 3D glasses it will pop out at you, a fun surprise! Seventh & Dolores is the perfect gathering place and when the weather is nice, lounge by the outside fireplaces to mix and mingle.
The cuisine served is a playful California spin on classic steakhouse and seafood items. I dined on a delicious lunch that included the Fried Chicken Sandwich, Ahi Tuna Tartare, and Red, White & Bleu Salad. I sipped on Folktale Winery Brut Sparkling Wine.
I can’t wait to come back for dinner! Temptations include the cornmeal fried oysters, 21 day wet aged filet mignon, and a smoky old-fashioned (with actual smoke) to wash it all down.
Seventh & Dolores feels both a part of Carmel, and something new.
I’m definitely eating there next time I’m in Carmel! Sounds and looks amazing!!!!
Wonderful blog post! I look forward to dining at Seventh and Dolores when I’m in Carmel
