If you’re seeking a seaside getaway, Tiburon, California is always a great option! It’s a quaint and sophisticated town in Marin County that’s located fifteen minutes north of the Golden Gate Bridge. One can find luxury yachts docked on the marina in addition to magnificent views of the bay and San Francisco cityscape. On Main Street, there are wonderful spots to shop, wine and dine.
I escaped Silicon Valley and headed up north to enjoy a weekend getaway at the resort style Lodge at Tiburon. Sprawled across three acres, the lodge offers a unique blend of rustic charm and upscale comfort. Opening the balcony doors in my room and feeling the cool bay breeze soothed my soul. The breathtaking views of Belvedere Hills are easy on the eyes.
Tiburon serves as the perfect launching point for all of your Northern California adventures! Angel Island is a 10-minute ferry trip from the shores of Tiburon by the Bay and it’s the perfect spot for hiking or biking. There are countless other outdoor adventures you can partake in.
After a long day of exploring, the lodge’s pool and whirlpool spa were the perfect spot to relax and recharge. Also, I was pleased to hear that it’s heated year-round.
Each evening, I made my way down to the lobby for happy hour featuring California wines. There are many spots around the lodge to “wine down” – from the roaring outdoor fireplace to the SkyDeck outdoor lounge with stunning views.
If you feel like staying in, grab a bite at Tiburon Tavern, a gastropub restaurant that serves delicious New American food made using ingredients sourced from the town’s farms and gardens. I had brunch there and the food and service were great!
Overall, I had a wonderful and relaxing stay at The Lodge at Tiburon. It’s the perfect base for exploring the North Bay!
