Viszlay Vineyards nestled in the heart of the Russian River Valley produces world-class estate wines made from fruit grown on its 10 acre vineyard.
Nestled just feet away from the winery is a grand ranch style guesthouse that’s tastefully designed with a blend of modern and rustic elements.
During my stay I had the opportunity to explore Viszlay Vineyards’ estate and spend time with owner, John Viszlay, at his winery. Viszlay produces soft, elegant and balanced wines and they pair beautifully with the stunning views of the hillside vineyards and Fitch Mountain. The wines are produced in small lots and are currently available exclusively through the winery and its wine club.
At the vineyard, there is also a vacation rental. It has an open-concept floor plan that seamlessly connects the living, dining, and kitchen areas. Within the house there’s a fully-equipped gourmet kitchen that’s perfect for entertaining and indulging in culinary adventures. The kitchen features top-of-the-line appliances, a large island with seating, and a pizza oven. It has a spacious and welcoming atmosphere and there are many seating areas to enjoy a delightful meal – from the elegant dining room to the outdoor wrap-around deck with stunning views!
As for sleeping arrangements, there are five comfortable bedrooms including a master suite. The outdoor living space is quite lovely with a swimming pool, jacuzzi, and outdoor seating. It’s the perfect spot for relaxation and entertainment.
Viszlay Vineyards is a great spot to take in Sonoma wine country. It’s a short five minute drive to downtown Healdsburg, but having everything you would possibly need onsite it’s hard to find a reason to leave. I had a wonderful stay and look forward to visiting again!
