Mary Alice Stephenson and her GLAM4GOOD styling team turned 70 deserving girls into prom queens at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. It was an absolute prom #GLAMSLAM! There is no better feeling than helping young women feel empowered, inspired, confident, and beautiful for their high school proms!
The young ladies were selected from three organizations, Peace Is A Lifestyle, KIPP NYC and Links, Inc. GLAM4GOOD partnered with the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute to create a prom-themed fashion event. The teens were led through a tour of the Costume Institute’s stunning “Charles James: Beyond Fashion” exhibition, showcasing the career of legendary fashion designer Charles James. They were then escorted into a prom-themed style workshop. To top off the prom #GLAMSLAM, the young ladies strutted down a red carpet dressed to the nines and sang ‘I am beautiful’ on the steps of the MET (gives me goosebumps just thinking about it).
A special thanks to Super Stylist, Mary Alice Stephenson for organizing this magical and heart-warming event that so many will never forget!
Keep up the good work!
