One of my favorite escapes along California’s spectacular coastline is Carmel-by-the-Sea. The town’s storybook ambiance includes fairytale cottages, old cypress trees, breathtaking ocean views, and lots of pampered pooches. While wandering, enjoy delicious bakeries, beautiful art galleries, fine restaurants, and charming hotels. Stop by Actress Doris Day’s hotel, the Cypress Inn, one of my favorite spots for a drink or Sunday Brunch with live music. To settle your sweet tooth, stop by The Carmel Bakery and indulge in decadent desserts.
