When it comes to fine wine and spirits in London, Berry Bros. & Rudd has been London’s center of good times and fun since 1698.
Located at 3 St. James’s Street, Berry Bros. & Rudd (BBR) is considered to be the go-to merchant for fine wine and spirits in London. It holds two Royal Warrants granted by H.M. The Queen in 1952 and H.R.H. The Prince of Wales in 1998.
I recently signed up for a classic gin cocktails masterclass with Ross Bryant, BBR’s Brand Ambassador of No.3 London Dry Gin.
Mr. Bryant guided us through how to make each cocktail, step-by-step. We made a Martini, Negroni, and French 75. The cocktails were fabulous, but I personally preferred the French 75, while my boyfriend, Matthew, sipped on a Negroni (or two) with ease.
The whole process was simple and laid back. A box of spirits were shipped to my flat a couple days before the virtual class. Tracking and first class customer service made sure they arrived without incident. The box included:
- No.3 London Dry Gin
- Berry Bros. & Rudd Champagne by Mailly, Grand Cru
- Gran Classico Bitter by Tempus Fugit Spirits
- Lustau Rojo Vermouth
- Dolin Vermouth
To top it off, the box also included a No.3 branded mixing glass, jigger, and stirrer.
Leading up to the session, BBR sent me an email that included a Zoom link and list of ingredients, glasses, and tools to gather prior.
Overall, it was a fun and interactive virtual class with London’s sophisticats! I found No.3 Gin to be crisp and refreshing. Blended in Holland, the juniper, citrus, and spice flavors are perfectly balanced.
I look forward to making many more gin cocktails with No.3!
Sounds fun! I’m ready for happy hour 🍸🍸
