Located in the heart of Los Gatos, Due Dieci is my go-to spot when seeking a taste of Italy. From the moment a guest steps through the doors they are warmly greeted. The menu features a delectable selection of traditional and modern Italian dishes that are crafted with care and passion.
Due Dieci’s chic bar is also a Los Gatos hotspot with a talented team of mixologists behind it. They are dedicated to crafting exceptional cocktails that showcase innovative flavor combinations and impeccable presentation. From classic Italian cocktails with a modern twist to creative concoctions using premium spirits and house-made infusions, each sip is sure to please the palate. Due Dieci also offers an impressive collection of local and international wines.
My boyfriend, Matthew and I went to Due Dieci for date night and we ordered a variety of appetizers to start:
Pane All’ Olive – A traditional Italian bread that has a rustic and crusty exterior, but a soft and fluffy interior that’s infused with a medley of olives.
Fritto Misto – Each bite offers a satisfying crunch, revealing tender and succulent seafood alongside perfectly crispy cauliflower and zucchini. Creamy and nutty pistachio aioli accompanies this dish nicely.
Bruschetta – This was a perfect balance of creamy, crunchy, and sweet. The ricotta is generously spread on rustic bread. Honey is drizzled on top along with a sprinkling of sesame seeds.
Arancini – It has a crunchy exterior that gives way to a gooey center. The combination of the rich, melty cheese and the flavorful pancetta creates a burst of deliciousness in every bite. The herbed yogurt provides a refreshing and creamy accompaniment, balancing the richness of the arancini.
After indulging in a wonderful assortment of appetizers we managed to save room for the following mains:
Fettuccine All’Aragosta – A luxurious and indulgent pasta dish that highlights succulent butter-poached lobster. It’s complemented by the richness of Grana Padano cheese, a velvety beurre blanc sauce, and a hint of coriander.
Filetto – From the renowned Allen Brothers of Chicago, this tender and succulent steak is a true carnivorous delight. To elevate the dish further, a luscious bone marrow reduction is drizzled over the steak, enhancing its juiciness and imparting a depth of savory richness.
Mangia Tutto Tre Vie – A 8 oz. three-way blend burger topped with provolone cheese, savory prosciutto, and roasted pepper. The burger offers a harmonious fusion of tastes and its served alongside crispy, golden fries.
For dessert we settled our sweet tooth with Tronchetto al Cioccolato. With each indulgent bite, the velvety textures and rich flavors of the chocolate intertwine with the nutty undertones of hazelnuts, creating a symphony of taste. The addition of local flowers added a touch of elegance, infusing the dessert with subtle floral notes.

The recipes at Due Dieci are those of regional Italian tradition, revisited with the imagination of talented chef Nicko Moulinos. The attentive and knowledgeable staff at both restaurants ensure that every dining experience is a memorable one!
With its contemporary decor, delectable cuisine, and genuine hospitality, Due Dieci located at Los Gatos’ Toll House Hotel is a must-visit destination. It’s perfect for a variety of occasions, ranging from date night to business dinners.
