The Harvest Celebration at St. Supéry Estate Vineyards & Winery was all about great food, wine, and giving back! I enjoyed celebrating 2018 harvest while while supporting Valley Oak High School in Napa. There was a silent auction to raise money for Valley Oak’s new Wellness Center. It included wines and special tours from Napa Valley producers such as Darioush Winery, Silver Oak Cellars, and HALL/WALT Wines.
The event started out with a Bordeaux white style blending session where Michael Scholz, Vice President of Winemaking & Vineyards showed us how to blend our own Bordeaux white style wine. I felt like I was in chemistry class, pouring wine into cylinders and mixing them with others to create a perfect blend that appealed to my senses. At the end of the event, the wine I blended was bottled up to take home.
The Harvest Celebration had interactive wine and food pairing stations that featured spectacular creations from St. Supéry Estate Chef Tom Kawachi. The food highlighted produce from the winery’s culinary garden and local artisan food purveyors.
St. Supéry Estate Vineyards & Winery offers wonderful wines and events. I look forward to attending more of their events in the future as the food was incredible, the ambiance was beautiful, and there was a great crowd of people! I learned a fun fact at the event: Chanel, Inc. owns St. Supéry Estate Vineyards & Winery. Fabulous fashion & wine…it doesn’t get any better in my book!
