Historic Hotel Jerome has been the social hub of Aspen since its opening in 1889. It was Aspen’s first hotel and is still housed in the original building (although with an updated interior). Walking into the hotel I was immediately drawn to its cool and contemporary interiors with a Western flair.
Centrally located on Main Street, this luxury hotel offers beautiful views of Aspen Mountain and is close to chic restaurants and shops. In addition, trails such as the Rio Grande were shaded by trees keeping me cool in the Summer heat.
I stayed in a Deluxe King Room which featured floor-to-ceiling windows. Above my bed there was a historic photo of a Native American chief from the Ute tribe who once used Aspen as a summer hunting ground.
In the extra large bathroom, I was excited to find luxurious Hermes Paris products and a massive bath tub. To top it off, a welcome note and healthy bites to enjoy were arranged prominently in the room – how very kind of the staff!
Kick back on one of the many outdoor seats and tables at Prospect Restaurant, the hotel’s signature dining venue open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Throughout the day, you can find many spots around the hotel to enjoy a cocktail in a chic setting. You could easily spend all day at Hotel Jerome with a spa, pool, and many spots to socialize onsite.
It was my first time visiting Aspen and I’m very happy with my decision to stay at Hotel Jerome!
Great post! I’ve never been to Aspen and you’ve now inspired me to take a trip there. Hotel
Jerome looks like a wonderful place to stay.
