Hotel Yountville offers an ideal setting to slow down and enjoy a quintessential Napa Valley wine country experience. It’s quite a luxurious place to call home as its walking distance to the world-renowned, French Laundry as well as charming shops, tasting rooms, and art galleries. Hotel Yountville also offers guests bicycles to use during their stay so they can explore Napa Valley at their own pace.
Upon check-in I was offered a complimentary glass of wine and I enjoyed it from the comforts of the spacious lobby with a roaring fireplace. From the lobby, there are doors that lead to an outdoor communal area with a soothing water feature – a nice place to gather and socialize.
Wandering the property, I admired its cobblestone façade featuring Napa River rocks and with the Hopper Creek River nearby it seamlessly blends into its environment. Hotel Yountville offers luxurious, all-suite accommodations complete with four-poster beds. Rooms feature a neutral color palette and resemble a country home with modern touches. After a long day, soak in an oversized sunken tub and lather yourself with luxurious Molton Brown bath products. Cozy up next to the stone fireplace with a complimentary bottle of vino and with a glass in hand “cheers” to the good life!
The pool is a centerpiece of the hotel and encourages guests to immerse themselves in an oasis surrounded by manicured Italian Cypress trees as well as a majestic oak tree. A highlight of my stay was unwinding in a poolside cabana with a beautifully presented cocktail in hand and noshing on light bites from Heritage Oak.
The pool at Hotel Yountville serves as an extension of The Spa and it’s perfect for taking a dip before or after a spa treatment. The 4,000-square-feet spa at Hotel Yountville features six treatment rooms, a relaxation room and boutique store. For a special occasion, book a couples spa suite as they’re quite luxurious with a Swiss shower, luxurious double hydrotherapy tub and fireplace. It’s a peaceful haven where your worries will melt away.
As for cuisine, the restaurant onsite, Heritage Oak offers modern American farm-to-table cuisine in a charming and inviting atmosphere. My boyfriend, Matthew and I dined there for breakfast and lunch and were quite pleased with the cuisine as well as the attentive service. If you’d like to experience Heritage Oak from the comfort of your room, that’s an option as well! In-room dining is delivered via a vintage-inspired, three-wheel cruising bicycle with a large basket.
One evening, we dined at Lucy located at Hotel Yountville’s sister property, Bardessono. We received door-to-door service in Bardessono’s preferred vehicle, Lexus and it was fun to ride in the 2022 Lexus RX 350. Lucy serves “field-to-fork” fare that excites one’s palette and we indulged in a variety of items that ranged from incredibly fresh ahi tuna carpaccio to indulgent honeynut squash and lobster risotto topped with bacon jam and parmigiano reggiano. We settled our sweet tooth with the light and fluffy lemon-ricotta cheesecake, it’s not to be missed! Also, their cocktails are inventive and beautifully presented.
Overall, Hotel Yountville offers an amenity rich experience with luxurious touches. I appreciated the in-room refreshment cabinets that were stocked with complimentary organic fruit and nut mixes, granola squares and caramel macchiato almonds accompanied by signature Hotel Yountville water bottles. Each morning, it was enchanting to see colorful hot air balloons in the sky. Overall, Hotel Yountville offers a prime location for exploring the charming town of Yountville as well as the rest of beautiful Napa Valley.
