Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek is tucked away in a serene nook in Uptown Dallas. It’s a Texas icon and the inaugural property of the global Rosewood Hotels & Resorts collection. Originally built in 1925, it was the private residence of cotton and oil magnate, Sheppard King. The hotel’s unique architecture blends rich European architecture with modern amenities. The hand-carved fireplaces, marble floors and stained-glass windows add a special touch.
My boyfriend, Matthew and I had a lovely lunch at The Mansion Restaurant, a renowned restaurant that has dazzled diners for 35+ years. It serves creative cuisine with French influences.
We started our meal with a melt in your mouth scone that was paired with delicious orange jam.
We then dined on the following:
A perfect crab cake
A delightful Beet Salad
Butternut Squash Soup
To settle our sweet tooth, we had a trio of affogatos that were beautifully presented.
The hotel recently introduced renovated rooms and a redesigned lobby. Situated across the hotel’s nine floors are 142 new, expertly appointed accommodations that span from 450 to 2,650 square feet, offering some of the most generously sized rooms in Dallas. Award-winning interior designer, Thomas Pheasant boldly reimagined the spaces and retained several of the original rooms and suites iconic features, such as French doors, petite balconies and bold crown molding. Bathrooms are luxurious, modern, and feature Waterworks fixtures.
Across my experiences at Rosewood properties around the world, their dedication to service and unwavering attention to detail is a constant.
Rosewood Mansion On Turtle Creek is just minutes from one of the city’s airports, Dallas Love Field, Southern Methodist University, and great shopping. Guests are truly right in the heart of the Big D!
