 In 2009 at 18 years old, Stylez collaborated with The Cataracs who produced chart topping records, (Like A G6, Backseat etc.) The song ‘Right Here Right Now’ released to iTunes and online in 2010 creating a buzz in the San Francisco Bay Area.

 In late 2011 Stylez was contacted by an A&R from Universal to work on a project and moved to Hollywood to work on his debut album. This June he currently released his first single with the label entitled ‘This Is the Life.’

 Ryan is a good friend of mine and contacted me to help style him for his photo shoot for ‘This Is the Life.’ I had fun helping Stylez enhance his style…

Questions

 1. How would you describe your voice / style of music?

My style of music is pop, electric, R&B, all in one. How to describe my sound…I really can’t say anything besides that it’s different, distinct. Which is a blessing because I will be using that gift to full advantage when recording my albums. I try not to be like other artists and create my own sound!

2. Exciting news that your new release ‘This Is the Life’ has climbed to the top 40 radio and billboard 200. What should we be expecting from you next?

You can expect the music video real soon, within the next week or two. Then I will be releasing the remix to my single with a big feature by the end of the month..and another single or two off the album in August.

3. How did you get to where you are today? I’m sure lots of other artists wonder how to break into the industry and be succesful…do you have any stories or tips?

Determination, hard work, hard work, and hard work. I never stopped working towards where I am today, no matter how tough it was. I learned never to let anyone get to me, no matter how many people doubted me, it didn’t matter. If you have a goal or a dream you cannot let anyone phase you, let them motivate you instead. You have to let go of what you want people to think of you. This business can be very cold, and you can’t take no for an answer, keep working at it until something happens, and trust me…it will happen.
