I was excited to plan my one week vacation in Switzerland. When searching for accommodations I came across VISIONAPARTMENTS that specialize in stylish, furnished, and serviced apartment rentals. I stayed at both of their properties in Basel and Zurich and was very pleased with each experience.
VISIONAPARTMENTS properties are in central city locations with excellent transport connections nearby. In addition they offer affordable prices for long term rentals and guests receive a high-quality experience.
In Basel we stayed in an elegant one bedroom studio apartment that was beautifully furnished and provided all the comforts of a home away from home. The king size bed was very comfortable and had a headboard with a cherry blossom mural – very artistic, just like Basel. Nearby there was a comfortable sitting corner and a flat-screen TV offering another cozy spot to relax. We utilized the modern, fully equipped kitchen as it’s quite expensive to eat out in Switzerland.
The bathroom shower had a cherry blossom stained glass design and VISIONAPARTMENTS branded toiletries. There were also fluffy towels and a hairdryer. As for amenities, we enjoyed the rooftop pool with sweeping city views and the gym. Having a laundry room was certainly nice, along with a shared office and conference room. There’s even a common kitchen with very nice appliances.
If you want to take a stroll, there are plenty of spots nearby to do so: Rosenfeldpark, the Botanical Gardens, and the banks of the Rhine. The city is also well known for its lively cultural scene, you may have heard of Art Basel. You’ll find an abundance of art galleries and museums along with opera houses and theaters around town.
After we checked out of VISIONAPARTMENTS Basel, we headed to VISIONAPARTMENTS’ flagship apartment house, Wolframplatz 1 in Zurich. We stayed in a Senior Duplex Apartment with urban chalet style and it offered a unique living experience on two floors. Wood and stone combined with designer furniture and understated earthy tones gave the apartment an elegant touch.
On the lower floor we enjoyed an open living and dining area with a fully fitted kitchen, dining corner, and a cozy lounge with flat screen TV. There are large windows that fill the apartment with light.
A staircase leads to the upper gallery with an open and spacious sleeping area equipped with a comfortable king bed, flat screen TV, and working desk. It also features a small walk-in closet. The bathroom has a bathtub and shower and one can find a hairdryer, robes, fluffy towels, and company-branded toiletries. As for amenities, there’s a gym, lounge, laundry room, and parking. Pets are allowed too.
During our time in Switzerland we dined out once and it was at the Romanian restaurant onsite, La Lup. It was my first time trying Romanian food and we started out our meal with a Romanian platter featuring tomatoes, cucumber, pickles, onions, zacuska, sausage, and cheese. As for mains, we had the Mici, which means “little ones” in Romanian. They’re little sausages made with ground meat, spices and do not have any casing. They are grilled to perfection and served with mustard. Don’t miss the cheesecake for dessert! The crust almost tastes like Butterfingers and the cheese used is very creamy. The cake is topped with a delightful raspberry sauce. For those on the go, La Lup offers Jar Menus with delicious dishes and desserts. At VISIONAPARTMENTS Basel, I noticed that they also offered La Lup to-go jars for guests in their cafe.
Near VISIONAPARTMENTS Zurich is the shopping center Shilcity with numerous shops, restaurants and a movie theater. Local recreation areas Sihl and Allmend Brunau are situated nearby. We found VISIONAPARTMENTS to be the perfect base for exploring Zurich.
