With prize-winning Investigative Reporter for The New York Times, Jodi Kantor. In 2017, Jodi and Megan Twohey made a bold move and broke the story of Harvey Weinstein’s decades of alleged abuse towards women.

More than 6,500 women came together at the San Jose Convention Center for the Watermark Conference for Women Silicon Valley. It was an incredibly inspiring day where I listened to Reese Witherspoon, Amal Clooney, Jodi Kantor, and other trailblazing women that have and continue to shatter glass ceilings.

The conference came at a very important time for women…the viral #MeToo #TimesUp movement and the struggle for equality in the workplace. It is important for all women to come together and discuss how we can better “fight the battle” and make our lives better by working together.

At the opening keynote session, the prize-winning Investigative Reporter for The New York Times, Jodi Kantor spoke. Jodi is a very bold and incredible woman as she had the guts to publish the story about Harvey Weinstein’s decades of incredible alleged abuse towards women. Her story encouraged victims to speak and created a movement around the globe!

The conference alternated between keynote speakers and very informative breakout sessions. “Navigating Office Politics with Grace”, “Overcoming Imposter Syndrome, and Becoming an Authentic Leader” were just a few of the breakout sessions you could attend. At breakfast, I listened to the amazing Human Rights Attorney, Amal Clooney and at lunch, the incredible, Reese Witherspoon.
