When in Vancouver, stay at The Wedgewood Hotel & Spa, an exquisite Relais & Châteaux property offering luxurious facilities and superior service. To top it off, being a stone’s throw away from Vancouver’s best shopping, dining and entertainment districts is a perk. The Wedgewood is situated in the heart of downtown Vancouver, across the street from Robson Square and the Vancouver Art Gallery.
In the morning, wake up, slip on the comfiest Relais & Chateaux slippers, then sit out on your private balcony with a cup of coffee in hand. After, sit in the double soaker tub, and when you feel like it, make your way down to Bacchus restaurant and lounge to enjoy a delicious breakfast. The French toast with Quebec maple syrup is divine!
After breakfast, work off the French toast by cycling around town and through Stanley Park, all the while taking in Vancouver’s beauty. It was nice that the hotel had bikes that guests could borrow. The seaplanes taking off and landing in the water is eye catching as were the beautiful fall colors that were coming out in the trees.
In the afternoon, treat yourself to a spa treatment at the elegant and award-winning Wedgewood Spa. The Classic Facial is wonderful and I zenned out. After your treatment, chill in the relaxation lounge with a spot of tea and flip through magazines.
In the evening, retreat to Bacchus restaurant offering exceptional French-inspired cuisine by renowned Executive Chef Montgomery Lau. The presentation, food, and service is exceptional! My mouth waters when thinking about the scrumptious lamb chops I devoured! When returning to my One Bedroom Deluxe Suite, the nightly turn-down service and cookies were a sweet surprise!
All in all, it was my first time visiting Vancouver and I had a wonderfully calm and indulgent weekend! The hotel’s staff was friendly, prompt, and provided a first-class experience. Prior to my stay, the Concierge Team sent a curated list of recommended restaurants, lounges, and activities. They were always quick to respond to my questions via email, moving the needle on customer satisfaction!
I look forward to visiting again – perhaps to take a flight in one of those cool seaplanes!
